Well we will be pouring concrete in the morning, should be about 27 yards of it. Got the pipes ready to be hidden under the slab so I can put the bathroom in later on after the inspections are done  then the fun starts....trying to keep the 3 dogs off of it tiil it sets up

    Robert,

I built a 32'x50' a few years ago, some people thought I was crazy. Now, you'd be surprised how "small" it's gotten. Course my parent's are storing their 24' 5th wheel camper and their 18' boat inside, which doesn't help! Anyway, "someday" I would like to add on to one side to create a tool room, maybe 15' wide by 20' or so. Anyway, I thought it would be great to add a bathroom. So, what's the trick to having the plumbing hidden so the inspector won't see it? Doesn't the fitting for a toilet need to be on the surface of the cement?

Skim a coat of concrete over the hole with some support underneath. After the inspection, break it out. Worked great for ummm...a friend of mine ;)

use an inside fitting flange. did mine with 3" fitting and put a small bowl and some foam around the pipe to center the bowl. then you find the level of your floor and cut the pipe about 1/8 shorter. duct tape works well for keeping the bowl from moving.

OH....we started a 8:00 and I now have a finished floor :dancing:...now I need to figure out what wall heights and rafters I need and get busy.

Here is a picture of the new floor:dance:.
