My uncle found me a book that has info and pictures on the maverick and comet- it has a Grabber on the cover for corn's sake. I wanted to post pictures, but my scanner is being cranky. Unlike other books this one isn't snooty when it talks about the maverick. I'll get pics up in my gallery when I get the scanner back online.:)

Yep. Usually I'm hard pressed to find anything about Mavericks at all. And when you do read about it it's usually smugly dismissed as a low rate college student, grandma and grandpa grocery getter. I wish those thick skulls that think that could see some of the Mavs on here!

Btw- My scanner is still being annoying. I'm about to just take some pics with my digital camera.

Well we all have come across some gearbox who has a problem with mavericks or comets and usually has some kind of bad comment about them. What these guys don't like to hear is that mavericks and mustangs (certain years) are more alike then not and as far as i'm concerned you can make a maverick look and handle as sweet as any car on the road. Their lines are sweet with that great 60's fast back look. Anyway they can keep their yaps shut about these cars cause there are other cars to restore and keep other then your standard camaros, mustangs, chevelles ,chargers, vettes etc ,etc ,etc. No matter how much someone tells me that my comet is not cool or good enough it only makes me like them even more.:party3::comet:nmcc

The 70s were the highwater mark for car paintjobs and custom styling.

Got that right. I love my maverick don't get me wrong, but the seventies is wall to wall jam-packed with awesome rides.

    My cover

Hmm... That's a different cover than mine. I took some pictures with my digital camera to show you. My camera is a super-crap-o-matic so these are the only ones that aren't washed out.

Thats the same Maverick picture (minus the woman) thats on the current issue of Old Cars Price Guide which I posted on another thread.

Most be a available Mav Model Picture if its on both (or they are both distributed by the same company maybe)

Cool. I missed that thread. You're right, it must have been a fairly commonly available promotional pic of that specific "Show-off" car.
