    Howdy!

It's almost time for our annual Texas Mini-Meet!

The 2008 Texas Mini-Meet will be held in conjunction with The Heart of Texas Mustang's All Ford Roundup on Saturday September 27, 2008. Once again, it will be 15 miles west of Waco, TX on US HWY 84 at the Granite Ford dealership in Mc Gregor, TX. There will be only a $10 registration fee for entering the show. (Registration is not necessary in advance). They plan on having our own Maverick/Comet class just like last year. If you don't want to enter your car, you can park it for free in the "not showing" area. There will be free hot dogs and cold drinks!

The Maverick/Comet Club International is providing dash plaques for the participating cars!

See flyer (Below) for more details.

I'll be there. My Maverick will not be ready. I try to have my 63 Ranchero running.

Blu, I have a spare wheel and tire for you if you come get it. I am in Forney.

    Maybe?

If I cn get my daughter's car done, we'll be there in it, otherwise, we'll be there to dream! We've been almost on the road for too long!

    The Dream lives on.

Me too. My dream will not end until I finish my first Maverick, now a 71 Grabber HiPo 250 I6. I too will attended the meet without a car. The Mav group is great and I met new friends from the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Everyone should be there. Maybe we have our very own Texas Maverick meet someday. Texas Grabber Doug would be very proud.

:HandshakeLooking forward see everyone in 7 weeks! :Handshake

Yes, it would make me proud to have a meet with 20 or so cars and to say they are all from the Lone Star State! Mavericks/Comets are all around our state, but people are afraid to commit to an activity, unfortunately.

I think it's neat when people show up on foot. This to me really shows an interest. I've been to some of my favorite Maverick meets without a car, and had a great time. Also, there is nothing wrong with bringing a car-in-progress. We like to see the befores AND the afters!:thumbs2:
