Hey, just wondering if anyone has put 295-50s on the rear of a maverick i was hoping a 15x8 with 4.5 bs and some airshocks would do the trick without having to trim the lips
I think that's going to be a bit wide...unless you jack it up real high with the air shocks...neither of which will look very good and air shocks are not good on your car. I am running 275/60R15's with the lip rolled a bit. They fit nicely and I have no rubbing at all. I am just running stantard gas shocks on the rear with stock springs. No need to raise it at all. You can click the camera icon under my name if you wanna see pics of it. Good luck
well i think i'll just go with 275-60s with 15x8 4.5 bs rims and 15x7 at 4.25 bs with 245-60 15s this combo shall work with no ill effects correct?...this is the combo that'll be comming off my 72lark soon
When you get into a really tight tire fit, tire brand can play a big role in the final size. Most manufacturers have actual size charts. Coopers, like that white Comet has, tend to run small. BFGs are usually larger than other brands. Goodyear and Firestone are somewhere in the middle. My Cooper 265/50/15s are within a 1/4" in width as a friend's BFG 245/60/15s.
In preparation for some Uniroyal 275/60-15s I rolled my lips and threw on some shackles with a 1" lift for good measure. They're going on some Comp TA daisy mags I got at the junkyard.. 15x7's I just hope they don't balloon out too much
