I agree, it would be nice if they get the message of how popular this cars are becoming!

Wally World won't be getting any of these limited editions. But I sure hope Mattel will start making other versions for cheap. Remember the limited editions have special paint and "real rider" tires made of real rubber. Sweeeet.

Now maybe a limited edition four door. ;)

That's amazing. They sold over 10K of them in 3 days?
I had at least one of the originals in the 70's growing up.

Let's see, worst thing I ever did to a Hotwheel:

    1. Firecrackers-need I say more?
    2. Filling the interiors with playdough
    3. Climbing on top of the carport and making a track ramp down to my sandbox
    4. Painting them !!
    5. I got a took kit one Christmas-hammer, screw driver, pliers....
    6. Left them outside while Dad mowed grass
    7. Let my brother play with them.

I still have my case in the attic at my parents house. I have a few
but not many in good shape.

a three day sell out is not that great. :hmmm:
The more popular cars sell out in a matter of minutes, at 10k pcs. That makes me wonder if they will do many more of the casting in the future. My guess is that they should have used a different color to promote the Maverick for it reissue. Mattel has done some goofy things in the past. If you look at some of the items they are offering today I'd say they still are. *Fingers crossed* That more colors and scales 1:24 & 1:18 will be coming out soon...:yup:

    Mighty Mav convert

Yep, I did the same to alot of my Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars. I found 2 Mighty Mavs. in my car collection. One I painted green. I plan to paint it red to match my father's '71 Grabber. The other I cut the top off of it. I guess I liked converts when I was 5!
Bummer, it it blue and it good shape other than the fact the roof is missing!

    Pink And Grabbers

My 14 yr. old daughter want's to have her Grabber painted Grabber Green with Pink Stripes and a mixture of these colors for the interior. She is a Tom Boy with a Little Girly Girl in her. So I can't say to much about the Pink.

The Pink Hot Wheels were the rarest back in the late 60s/early 70's in Spectraflame colors, Since boys mostly bought them no one took the pink ones and now they usually are the most valuable today. Probably the reason for the Pink Mighty Maverick. I have an orange one myself. Hope this helps.

So, has anyone seen them on the shelves over the past 4 years since this thread started?

I have been looking all this time and never seen one.
