sqeaky 97 explorer

    1972 mercury comet with a maverick front end. It has a 1992 5.0 motor in it.
    nothin like fixin one problem and havin another. 1997 4x4 5.0 explorer sqeakin on the drivers side in the front end. i have spraid wd40 everyware and it still sqeaks. do you think the bushings could be worn out ? there is no place to grease anything..........................:hmmm:

    Have you tried to apply a light coat of lube to the sway bar bushings? I have had to REMOVE them and coat them before...

    The other squeak I have found is a ball joint. As you said, not greaseable. A 4x4 is a pain too...

    no but i spraid the hell out of the bushings with wd40. do you think i should wip it off and try grease ????????????

    Spraying doesn't help. You need lube on the area that makes contact with the bar on the inside. I use grease that does not affect rubber, like brake caliper grease.
    I posted the thought about the bj cause i'm thinking it's more likely squeaking there.

    i thought agout putting shocks on it anyway maybe ill do that too............
