I was listening to the Bubba show the other day and its true what he said...That they have us conditioned to be happy that prices fall just a little bit when even 2.79 is a rediculuous amount. Not too sure how true it is but he had mentioned that it takes 5-9 months to go from the refineries. It was also stated that the going rate for oil 5-9 months ago was 174 a barrel. now its 70-80 something. If thats the case, imagine what it is going to be 5-9 months from now. Knowing this why would the price change instantly once a hurricane comes through seeing as though that oil was pumped so many months ago??

(Not that I am not happy though that it is dropping a little bit!:)

It was $3.15 a gallon for regular here in town, but some places north of us are still selling for $3.29 or more. We live in a tourist attraction area close to the Pocono Mountains and it's fall foliage season. The farther north you go, the more gas cost. Got to take advantage of all those tourist, even if it means gouging them at the pump. What ticks me off is as the price of a barrel of oil keeps falling along with the price of gas, the cost of home heating oil stays high. Talk about getting gouged!

Saw $2.66 a gallon this morning. Never thought I'd be happy too see that. But I beleive in the conditioning too. Raise the price so high, and they will be happy with the lower inflated price. what a crock.

Just got back from gassing up our truck. Regular is now $2.99 a gallon. Two days ago it was $3.15 a gallon. I can't remember the last time $30.00 filled our truck up.
