just bought a '70 Torino and was wondering if anyone else had one on here. just mainly looking for some ideas and such since im buying it w/o engine or trans, but was a factory 351C 2v, auto, PDB, P/S, A/C car.
My dad had a '71 for a while. They are great driving cars. That thing rode smooth as can be, and had plenty of get up and go even with just the 2V 351C. Those Cleveland's sound awesome through Flow Masters: Keep us updated with it!
My neighbor has one with a 429 cobra jet that is absolutely cherry, but unfortunately he is selling it
Thanks for the support guys. i thought about leaving the Cleveland in it and buying it like it sits but instead decided to buy just the body. im thinking of a 429, or something along those lines.... and it already has the GT hood so that helps a little. or if nothing else, i have an extra 351W that i could put in it and make a great driver out of. needless to say when i get it home, ill post some pictures. im like you all, ive always liked them but could never afford one untill now so hopefully everything will pan out.
Two of the cars in my dream garage would be a '70 Torino SCJ w/ a 429 and a phantom '70 429 SCJ ranchero. My dads friend has a 68 or 9 Torino.
That's what I want, just put a Cobra grille in, cobra badges, black taped stripped hood w/ pins, and remove the squire wood panelling.
I had a white 71 'chero in high school. Heavy, slow, handled like an overburdened tugboat... but dam I loved the heck out of it. They are extraordinarily prone to rust.
