A preacher friend of mine made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I know, it's not a FORD, but it's so ugly it's cute. He bought it needing a head, so he replaced it with a junkyard one. Then he realized he was in over his head, he didn't know how to time the cam and dist, so he quit fooling with it. It sat all summer, and his wife got tired of looking at it in the yard. He priced it to me, and I jumped on it. He brought it to me today. 1993 GEO Tracker 4wd , 1.6 4 cyl, 5 speed. As soon as I get a book on it, I'm going to time it and see how it runs. If it does OK, I'll build a towbar for it and pull it behind the motorhome. I thought about painting it, but my wife says she likes the camo. Inside is nearly perfect. If nothing else, I can use it as a mud toy....

Be careful and find out if the trans will be affected by pulling it. I have seen some vehicles that end up needing a trans after being pulled. Neat toy

ya, i know with rwd cars, if you tow it with the wheels on the ground you should disconnect the drive shaft off the rear and wire it up so that it doesnt spin the trans with the motor not running

looks like a fun car if you can get it back on the road

    good luck

Yeah, if it wern't for the aluminum wheels, it'd just blend in with the landscape!:D

That's the good thing about it being 4wd drive Gene. I can put the transfer case in neutral and nothing turns but the driveshafts. :yup:
I've got less than the price of a good set of tires in the thing, I figure if the motor turns out to be bad I can part it out and still get more than what I payed for it back....

I would still be cautious. My friends car was in neutral and something was still turning. I know not all are made the same and maybe him doing 90mph didn't help lol.
