passed on the cop car and got this for half the price. just got home from DMV passed the first time through, tagged titled ready to roll

i bought it off a 81 year old man with cancer. the car has just over 55K miles and inside and out its pretty much show room quality. i feel like im buying a new car. he spent his winters in florida and did a little driving up here during the summer. left the car parked in a barn all winter. he wanted to send the car to someone who would apperciate it so that his wife wouldnt be burdned with it when he passes. its white with a dark blue top and dark blue interior and the "turbine" looking wheels. only problem is that during this past summer all the coolent escaped the AC system. his mechanic thinks the O-rings dried out from storage and non-use

i also found out the full top was installed by a privite coach builder by the dealer. very rare. the window sticker said it was ordered with a half top in white

im just going to travle to community college with this car. no hard miles. my daily is about beat so i was in the market

    i paid $1,300

Wow, that thing's in really fine shape! I'm glad you found such a great deal, and I'm glad the seller found the right kind of buyer.

Nice car. Make sure the grommet on the tv cabel for the trans is secure, i saw a bunch of those trannies in those model cars smoked from it.

Those are great cars. My grandparents bought one new in '89, that car ran for 289,000 flawless miles before the overdrive in the AOD gave out and they parked it. It's been sitting for about 9 years now, and the car still fires right up and runs great, drives around the yard. We're going to get it back on the road this spring.

Btw the cable comes loose on the throttle body end. Just wanted to make it myself clear. I scrapped one of those cars myself and i too kept the trans and engine. I really wrestled with the decision cause its such a good riding car.
