Nothing huge. Maybe 300-500 watts. Just something I can feel in my back?

I don't want to lose the arm-rest/glove box, but willing to fill the hole underneath with speaker, just one. I could open it if I wanted it to be louder, and close it for a hidden look.

Currently is has my 2 gps units, a fire extinguisher, some tampons, a box of tissue, and instructions for my Pioneer head unit. I could easily move most of this to other locations in the car.

Box appears to be approx 6" deep, 12" wide, and 16" long. Not concerned with it being the "perfect" size or shape for a 10" sub, but just a little more bass than what I currently have.

Well I can't because it would be wired wrong and horribly installed and sound like crap. It looks like it would fit though.

Why not get something like a Kenwood KSC-SW10 and mount it under the seat. Then you still have your storage.

well, it looks like you need the storage, lol... but given the dimensions you specified, you should be able to fit a 300-500 watt 10" sub in there. Anything more, and the magnet might be too big/deep for your hole. (no pun intended) lol...

make sure the compartment is secured good, as it will rattle and make it sound like crap otherwise. Also, plastic absorbs alot of energy, so your "thump" wont be as good as say in a wooden box mounted to the floor.

Never thought about under the seat. I will have to get under there and see if it will fit...

No way would I mount a sub in there. Most of what your sub puts out will be felt....not heard.....so you need to mount it somewhere where it won't rattle and vibrate.

As you can see above.....this sub speaker is not seen inside the car....and points the wrong direction. :D It is not powered with a seperate amp....just the head unit....and I guarantee you it ROCKS!!!

I suggest you look at a powered sub of some sort....even an 8" or 10" would work. A powered bazooka would work great as well.

I want to see the seat from the inside view. Looks like it would be hard on the back if you were sitting in the back seat. The magnet hitting you in the small of the back. If not a problem. I just may move my woofer there. It's in a box in the middle of the trunk right now.

Well, I got a Pioneer 10" 200 watt sub from Wally-World. Keep in mind, I am not trying to rock the world, just get a little bump that I can feel in my back while driving.

I think I can make a pretty good box with the center console, and if it doesn't work out, I can get another one and put both in the back of the Maverick.

I may mess with it tomorrow. It is 80 degrees and sweaty outside today, and I don't want to be messing around out in that kind of weather. Cold front tonight, and I will have crisp cool weather for working outside tomorrow.

But that's where my remote control window unit is going :D
Scott, what about under the rear seat? There are cubbies there... custom fab some boxes.

yeah, That is my back up plan. Some guy makes an enclosure that fits in those, but I NEED to keep the passenger side cubby empty so I can lay the fold out "tables" in tact so I can haul computers and stuff for work.

I have an email in to the guy that makes them to see if he makes one that works on just the driver side cubby.

Man, have you priced plywood down here since the storm? I just paid $8 for HALF sheet of 3/8"! The prices are skyrocketing right now. I was going to put flooring in the rest of the attic tomorrow, but with those prices, I will wait until the inventory comes back and the prices go back down.

By the way, got to measuring and all, and figured that the cubby under the driver side back seat is OPTIMAL! And with the seat down and someone sitting on it, there is a 3" gap between the top of the speaker and the bottom of the seat, so I won't have to have the seat up or the center console up to hear the bass.
