Do these exist, i know there was one raced in baja but are there any other Drag racing, 4x4, or hot-rodded courier trucks? A high school in my city has one stashed behind the shop class I believe.
There was a member on Here with one and i belive his daughter drove it. They called it the "Worryher Courier" Try and do a search for that.
A guy I went to high school with back in my hometown in So Cal still races a Courier he built way back in the early 80's......351C converted to run on propane, of all things, C-6, 9-inch. It's no looker, a true "rat" rod, but runs like stink. The early mini-trucks like the Couriers and Chevy Luvs are getting scarce, they weren't the toughest rigs to begin with, and most were rode hard and put up wet, and customizers would fix them up, but toss them aside for the latest new little truck that came out.
That would be Rick Porter. Got some great pics and even videos from the track. Here's a link: http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=30869&highlight=courier
Yes Derick is rite . He also has a 428 Purple Mav, running on Alcohol I believe. Resides in SC..Damb I'm looking at his face in my mind and can't remember his name.
Thanks for the pics, boy, what does Rick not have. An 8 sec Comet, a 70 mav street car, a pro streeted courier, etc.......
I remember in '83 or was it '84 when the ranger was being introduced, the local Ford dealer was closing out Couriers you could get one for $3995.00.
