My grandpa bought a 427 Fairlane brand new like that. He traded it in a few years later on a new 69.5 Maverick with a 170 and 3 on the tree. Then traded the Maverick in on a new '77 Thunderbird with a 460.

My dad had a 66' Fairlane, but it was modified. It had a 460 in it with a 429 crank. The guy he sold it to was gonna tub it.

I have encountered some serious Maverick devotees since joining this message board, but that is a first!

Thank you for the complement. the Gmc s-15 was my senior project in high school I ended up putting a 2/3 lowering kit on it..... I was planing on a EFI 350 w/ a five speed (notice the black camero in the garage... proper death to that chevy) ... But the wiring harness got fried by a punk a$$ kid who hated me:16suspect..(maybe i said one to many chevy jokes about his 67 camero? oh well i drove a gmc they were compleatly different...).. a month later I bought my 69.5 or 70 maverick all original. and that was love at first sight.... As for the tattoo it was my 21 birthday gift to myself. still unfinished:(

Cool. So you're one post away from having ten... This means you can post pics of your Mavericks in your gallery space. :D
