My 66 Chevy pickup started today, then died, then would not even turn over. No lights, nothing. Checked battery 12.49 volts. Truck has been sitting since well before christmas. I been thru pnuemonia and now some super germ that has me down, but not out. I am not supposed to do anything but bed rest,,,,,,,,,, that aint working out too well lol. I cleaned the battery terminals, cleaned the ground area. Battery terminals and cables all new last year. Truck is a 454/turbo 400. No neutral safety switch. I am suspecting ignition switch, but wife wont let me out of the house since I snuck out this afternoon. She needs to go shopping or something. Anyone got any ideas???

On the Gm's positive goes straight to starter then feeds rest of truck? I would check starter connections an clean.

Hope you get to feeling better Dan

Did you check where the main hot and all the other hot wires connect at the starter? Sounds like it's not getting juice thru the post there.....

Thanks guys,, that sounds logical,, will look at that when I am able to lay on the ground. Truck is outside and garage is full of mavericks in progress, or lack of progress lately. I appreciate it!
