Hey All, I know many of you Maverick and Comet guys like the little Pinto's like many of us Pinto guys like the Maverick's and Comet's (I will have an early Comet one day!) so I thought I would share some exciting news with you all...

Some of you may recall the Mizar - The Flying Pinto from back in 1972 and 1973. It was kind of a big deal and is still talked about today. Well Pintony and I were out in California the 1st week in Febuary this year to get a car stripped and ready for paint and hang out with some of our "Pinto" buddies.

While there we visited Galpin Motors of North Hills, California a couple different days. We were able to meet with many people from Galpin Motors including Bert and Jane Boeckmann and their Son Beau. We had a great time and I hope to keep in contact to get more information on the Galpinized Pinto's and cars of days gone by...

One in particular we had "Special Interest" in because....

We Found The Flying Pinto 2! Check It Out! ~~> www.cookieboystoys.com

for the origional promo video produced by Galpin Motors, the National Distributor of the Mizar I would like to thank Mr. Bert Boeckmann for allowing this to be seen again.

My Mizar Pinto "Flying Pinto 2" will be shown at 2009 Knotts Berry.
It is in GREAT unrestored condition it looks rough on the roof where the California sun had it's way with it but NO RUST!!!
If anyone knows of a 1972-76 Pinto with brown interior???
I am in need of a lightly used set of front buckets and front and rear carpet + cargo for a hatchback.
Also needed brown steering wheel and brown sunvisors + dome light .

I suppose it'd be the acme of foolishness to inquire if you got the airplane part of the car too? :p

This has or does not have the foot controls? Can't wait to see it on April 19.

That is totally cool! I personally have never heard of the car before, but my hubby has. He remembers the news coverage about it but not much else. Thanks for sharing.:)
