Ok,so I've been trying to sell my old Galaxies since Dec,but nobodies got any cash.So I traded them for this. It's a '94 Blazer,4.3/700r4,lowered w/Torque thrusts and a big stereo(for me anyway). Not my first choice in vehicles, but it seems to run good, has cold A/C and might be easier to trade /sell than a couple of project cars.
My family's last three family vehicles have been a Chevy van and two Suburbans. My daily driver is a Buick Regal. It won't kill ya.
My dad's daily driver is a 1981 Buick Century Limited 4-door 4.3V8, with 205,000 miles and still going.
I love those S10 trucks and blazers, i lost my liscense in a 85 gmc jimmy with a 305 from a 90 rs camaro, all CA smog legal. It hurts to talk about it, because they took the truck too!! it took alot of work to pull the motor and trans and have to save all the smog stuff, then shoe horn it into the truck and have to put all that smog junk back on, i love the simplicity of a carb. Heres why i like the S10 family; There big inside and small outside, kinda like a mav. You can put V8's in em, like mav's. They dont weigh alot so you can spin hella tire and get sidewayze even with a 6, just like my mav! Id like to get a 2dr blazer body ,I like em with the rack and a wing, they look hella tight with the tyfoon or syclone body kit, and build up a LS-X block for it but there too new, you cant smog em in CA.
I love those things. They're a great platform to work on. Here's a Bravada I built and drove daily for a while. 350 with the usual mods, 700R4, AC, ABS and full-time AWD! This was actually the first time I'd ever pulled or installed an engine.
I can't diss Chevy trucks. I've got an 88 Suburban Silverado 1/2 ton and an 82 1-ton crew cab dually.....neither one will win any beauty contest, but they've been great work/tow vehicles.
Nice work on that, but I gotta say the location of that fuel filter scares the crap out of me. When it inevitably starts leaking like those types are known to do, it's going to do so right on the spark plug wires and header.
