I have always wanted to build one from scratch, even the body from scratch. If only I was born rich and didn't have to work.

A friend of mine built this one two years ago! Talk about get a crowd at the shows!!! He told me he has less that $500 and two weeks in the complete build. People just starting giving him parts and pieces when he told them what he was doing. He's always putting stuff together like this. He presently has 4 homemade RatRods.
Here's the thread I posted it it: http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=37597&highlight=munsters

That looks really sweet!!! So you are telling me that he only spent $500. Someone just said "here, have this $2000 coffin" and someone else said, "and have this $1100 wheel and new tire setup". Did the $500 he spent go on the Moroso product?

Is there really a V8 in that coffin? Now that is super sweet. Super light, super fast, and if you crash and die they can bury you in your car. :thumbs2:

The coffin was a remnant washed up from Hurricane Katrina. Nobody wants to know where it came from. There were quite a few found. And yes...there is a small block c-word engine it it...also donated. He does drive this car on ths streets although it is very unsafe. If he were to get rear-ended it's all over. We joke with him all the time that we would just go ahead and dig a hole and roll him in it.
