a local napa went out of business (switched names to Carquest) about 2 yrs ago and the owner asked me today if i wanted to buy out the rest of his slotted/drilled rotors that were featured thru NAPA. none will fit a mav or anything else i have but are still popular applications. bought all of these for pennies on the dollar in hopes of turning some money they're the Power Stop brand, which is also featured at Summit as well. not bad for a couple hundred dollars, huh?
Looks like you put them in your back yard 2 years ago and just now found them again If you can get the applications and prices I can probably find a few buyers
so far, here's the app;ications i have found on Summit's website: qty. part number application 2 AR-8217R 83-96 front right Olds Cutlass Ciera, Buick Regal, Cadi Seville, GM cars, etc. 1 AR-8251R 96-01 Passenger rear Lumina, Regal, Monte Carlo, etc. sets: AR-8556L & AR-8556R '97-'04 F150 2wd, front Retail: $139.95/ea. AR-8742L & AR-8742R '00-'04 Jeep Grand Cherokee models, front Retail: $69.95/ea. AR-8118L & AR-8118R '82-'93 Mustang Lincoln Mark VII 5lug, front Retail: $139.95/ea. AR-8121L & AR-8120R '84-'86 Mustang SVO 5lug, Dr. & Pass. rear Retail. $129.39/ea. there's also some oddball stock ones laying around that dont have numbers and will probably be scrapped. a couple have surface rust on them, some boxes are better than others, but all in all they'll make some great deals for some people
With enough money.....you can buy new friends!!! You go for it.....don't let anybody rain on your parade.
ill prolly ask about 60% of the actual retail price, or take 40% off... ever how u wanna look at it. but if interested, ill sell u both for $150/shipped exactly! just trying to raise enough money! and i agree, im gonna do w/e it takes to pay the bills, put food on the table, buy the kids w/e they want and need.... and fund my mavericks
Nice find. Good luck selling them at 60% of cost however... Somethings you cant give away "used" even tho they aren't used. I hope you make your money back, best bet would be craigslist or something. Ebay will eat you up in fees.
No, I don't pay much attention to how much you sale? No reason to do so. I was just wishing you luck with selling them, as sometimes things of that nature are harder to get rid of. I have a brand new set of Moser 28 spline axles for a foxbody mustang along w/ C-clip eliminators that I can't seem to sell for over $150 off new price, so I know first hand how long you may have to hold onto things. But since you had the money to spend up front, you can apparently afford to sit on them until they do sell. (which is always good) Making your money back, and making a living/killing on something is two different things however. :Handshake
very true..... however, the market will always dictate an item's value. what you think it's worth and what you have in something doesnt change it's value
