I am looking at a set of 8 inch chrome wheels that have a 4 inch back spacing. They carry 235-60-15 inch tires. Is there any problems fitting this combo on a 70 Maverick? I no longer have leaf springs so I can go with a little more back spacing if needed.

    Thanks

I run 7 inch rims with 4 1/2 inch back spacing with leafs and no problems close on the fenderwells though,so with an 8 inch rim you might want to get as much back spacing as possible

I forgot to mention that I have a Versailles 9 inch rear which is slightly wider to begin with. I'm thinking that the 4 inch backspace, on the rims that I found, won't be deep enough. If a 4 1/2 fits with leaf springs, then I know I can still go deeper using coil overs. It's kind of looking like maybe a 5 inch offset might be better in my case.

Anyone with a Versailles rear want to chime in? :Handshake

I tried and L60 (275-60)15x8 4.5 BS and the tire rubbed on the leafspring. 15x7 w/4" BS fit best for my application
