89 Mercury Gran Marquis

Today I purchased an 89 Merc GM. One owner with 42k actual miles, An old couple had to quit driving. They purchased it new in Fort Worth.
It is pure showroom new. Light blue with white half vinyl top, royal blue leather interior, tires. Has the good engine: 302. All the bells and whistles!

I had to pay blood but there are none around like this one.

My grandparents bought one of those new also. White with dark red interior. They parked it in '98 when the overdrive went out in the trans. Been working on it here and there getting it going again recently. A good forum for them is http://grandmarq.net/

 

is it a 2 door or a 4 door? I love those boxy luxobarges.

 

'87 was the last year of the 2 door.

 

really? Because I've seen some 2 doors with the last facelift, maybe they were conversions.
