Currently, I am finishing a project I started 7 years ago, a '69 Dark Metallic Aqua XR7 convertible. It is painted and almost assembled. I still need to put a top on it, but it is roadworthy now. New suspension, Bendix brakes, stainless steel brake and fuel lines, fuel tank, etc.

Once it is finished, and my other '69 white Cougar conv is sold, I will fine tune my Mustang Sprint and get the Sprint Maverick painted.

Some of my cars can be seen by clicking on the image icon in my signature. They are never really finished.

93 Mustang with Cobra SVT IRS

This is a 93 Mustang GT. It has less than 50,000 original miles. It was in a minor accident so the previous owner stopped driving the car. I've got the car fax report for it that prooves it. The accident isn't on the report. Just the mileage records. It was a PA car. But since I 've owned it I titled in in NY and I have the transferable NY title. It was stock when I got it. But now it has a 99 Cobra SVT Independent rear in it. It's got 13 inch Cobra 5 lug rotors, calipers and spindles up front. It's got a 93 Cobra ground effects kit. (painted but not mounted) Cowl hood. The rear brakes are also discs and are 5 lug also.

I was supposed to be finishing this, but I got side tracked on the Maverick. I got my Maverick for a decent price, considering the Mustang II front end kit cost $2800 alone It was the kit with the tubular control arms. I paid $4300 for theMaverick. So now the Mustang is on the back burner.

I am actually thinking about selling it. But I should really finish it first. I've driven it around the storage facility that it's in. It handles real nice. I was zigzagging back and forth and the car handles great. I don't know why Ford stopped making IRS rears for Mustangs, They only made them for 98/04 Cobra SVT s. They're not for drag racing but you can't beat the handling and the ride quality as compared to a stock Fox body.

    Maverick with IRS Rear

I wonder if one of these Cobra SVT IRS rears would fit in a Maverick? A company called DVS restorations makes a kit to install them into vintage Mustangs. www.dvsrestorations.com They sell brackets that bolt to the Mustang frame rails and then the cradle for the IRS bolts up to those brackets. I've seen these rears sell for $1000 - 2000 on ebay. Like I said in my last post- these IRS rears provide a nice ride. It would be wild to put one in a Maverick with a 5 speed stick and a rack and pinion steering conversion.

I have a LOT of projects right now but no money. my four active ones are getting the kinks out of the grabber, collecting all the free parts for the comet to see what i'm starting with, getting my sons f150 squared away for all the little things required to be a daily driver, and my f250. just did different headers on the 390 i installed this spring, not to fond of them but the old ones were starting to not seal. next on the trucks list is to start grinding body sections and primer for paint....gonna try a backyard jobby since its just my pickup.. BTW the oil spot is from my sons pickup not this one ;P
