Looks like a nice car. I notice he did not post any pics of the hatch. I'd be checking that out.:)

any idea of what it would run in the 1/4 with some drag radials. I thinking high 13's to low 14's

It looks like there has been alot of work put into that car it might actually run 11-12's but more likely high 12's- low 13's depending on how much tuning you need to do to it.

    whats the truck run?:)

the car should be more then capable of some mid 13's it also looks like a 4cyl coversion as it is missing the GT parts for those years and the battery is on the passenger side.

Oh man! That body should get just enough to pay for the drivetrain swap into your Comet! Good score, that running gear sounds great for a street runner but is it worth $4100? Will the rear end fit under the Comet? No matter, I like the engine and if it comes with a car to take it home in then even better. I like the center console and the seats will look right.
I wonder if the entire dashboard could be swapped? Can that hood scoop be reused? I wonder how it would handle the outline of the hood, might have to Dremel it a little to get it flush. Does that car have a MII front end?

Wait a minute...you already have a 5.0 in the Maverick and the Comet 2dr is a parts car. This engine would be a waste in a 4 dr.

I don't get it. Did you buy a Comet for this project?

no the comet was a parts car that got parted out. The 73 4dr is also a parts car. The primered 72 is the one I'm fixing. The mustang would be left like it is and used as a daily driver and weekend hotrod. I've never raced the truck kinda afraid of breaking a bunch of stuff in it and fe parts are way to expensive and hard to find, that's why I'll never have another one of them

If it's in good shape those 5.0s are a blast to drive. Especially a 5 speed. What sort of truck are you swapping?

I absolutely love the old 4 eyed Mustangs. I'd trade in a heart beat.
