If you put a set of Grabber centers on the ranger wheels it gives them a whole new look and they work nice. Had that combo on the front of my 71 grabber and a set of Weld Pro Stars on the back and it looked good. See icon pic

Thats funny.. I just bought some Ranger wheels to put on my Maverick while it goes to paint. I can show you how "great" they look! NOT!.. but they were cheap and 5 lug so they fit the bill for right now. Look out when the paint is done-- Im going with some 17 inch Daggers.

Personally, I like them both but I voted for the Magnum 500s because they make the car have a sportier look to it.

You could always do like I did and buy 2 Comet GTs and have one of each... :D

    Dogpan Wheels

I recently bought a 73 Comet GT and it has 14" * 7 wheels from a 67 Cougar w/ beauty rings. I think they are vry similiar to Magnum but they are painted steel gray & blk w/ center 2 1/8" center caps. It had 245 * 60 on rear and 195 * 70 front. I was thinkin about buyin some new 15/16/ or 17 inch wheels but after looking at all the fitment issues I have read abt here w/ the spacers and stuff, I did not want the hassle.
I put 225*70's rear 195*70's front. I got the taller 70 size for a little softer ride and a little less rpm @ 70mph abt (2500) w/ C4. I gave up a little in handling but a little better ride and no tire rubbing, spacers, etc.,- just no tire rotation either.
I like the looks of the Cougar wheels-- they will likely be on the car for sometime.

    about wheels

I know it's an old post but just wanted to say I like the magnums (chrome), that's whats going on mine. I going to use 235/60/14 on the back and 215 or 205/70/14 in front, and hope to lower it in the front and back a couple inches. Wish list would be a nice set of weld wheels.
