It's got to be so bizarre to sit in a car, and have all the car power and speed, with no engine sound, vibration....no roar of the exhaust, whine of a supercharger or turbo......imagine squealing tires of a burnout with no engine revving up to go with it.......blows my mind. But, also imagine instant, constant, "right there" power,....300 horsepower and 1,000 ft. lbs of torque, all of it, from zero to top speed.....all "power band".....you have all the whole 300 hp and 1,000. lbs of torque from the instant you first touch the throttle til you top out at 150 mph. No gradual build up of HP and torque as the rpms and speed rise.....all of it on tap, instantly! Too Cool. but the thought of driving a Cobra without the sound of a Cobra.....too weird! in 10 years we will see more of these on the road and at car shows and even drag strips ..wonder what class they will run in ??
Those electric cars are definitely awesome. That girl on the other hand, the way she talks annoys the crap out of me, and someone should really let her know she has a skunk on her head.
didn't your mama ever teach you if you aint got nothin good to say bout someone then don't move your lips !!!!
I just wonder what they are going to make those cars sound like? For those of you that dont know they are going to start requiring all of the Hybrids/electric cars to make a noise because the blind and other people dont know to look for them if they cant hear them.
Yep, theyre planning on placing 2 speakers in the rear bumpers, with a simulated exhaust sound that comes from a chip you can buy to make it sound like whatever you want. Saw it on TV a few weeks ago, it was on Discovery I think...something about the progression and future of electric cars. This is one type of speaker theyre working on
