double seal oil filter

    I was wondering if anyine had any experience with these. My mom has an 2006 hyundai tiburon and it it time for an oil change. I am wanting to know if there is a difference

    never heard of a double seal oil filter? who makes them

    I made one once....by mistake. Left the old seal on the block from the removed filter, then installing the new one. Almost cost me a brand new engine.....and oil all over I75! I guess a store bought filter should work, but I can't imagine needing but one seal to seal up and oil filter.:huh:

    Same thing happened to my mom's 2004 Lincoln LS, thanks to a screw up at a local oil change shop. Except it DID cost an engine.

    I have never even heard of one that had 2 on purpose, the second gasket would be pointless.
