Thanks for the support Bob . Please dont spend to much time online from your work, as many employers monitor what sites employees visit.
Where I work, the supervisors can pull up the screen of everyone's computer and see exactly what is on it just as if they were sitting at the employee's computer!
i just sent my support as well - seldom i have seen a community like this. I have administrated large forums myself before, and i'm a member on the biggest european mustang forum. but there are many things that make this maverick community unique. it's the atmosphere - very relaxed and friendly - and also the ultimate will to help fellow members - in terms of tech support and excellent classifieds - which gives the community the certain touch you hardly find on the internet nowadays. maybe it's because the cars we all like so much are not the mainstream type - but without this forum i would never have been encouraged to get one myself!
It's official - I now am also a supporting member (I hope my identification box gets changed soon), I paid through PayPal Friday and have been talking with Stefan. While I own a Pinto wagon which is mid-restoration, I do not have a Maverick or Comet, though I grew up with a '70 Grabber that my Dad bought new. I also made a friend in Blugene, who is local to me, and has been invaluable in helping me restore my car!!! This group has been very, very friendly and helpful despite not owning a Maverick, far moreso than the other website that I usually visit. As a result, I felt complelled to support this site and will continue to do so. Given any luck, I'll end up a Mav/Comet owner one day. In the meantime, THANKS AGAIN ALL, this is one of the BEST classic car support groups on the web. Chris
I too have benefited greatly from this site. Thanks Stefan, and thanks to the rest of the members on here for all the great Maverick and Comet stuff. - Roger
