I did something similar to what tim keck had talked about in his post above. This stuff below is from a 1-yr old pm I sent to someone else asking about my setup so the prices may not be current anymore, but probably close. You can get the d-windows in black like tim says but the gray (silver) matched the stripe on my car. I got the powdercoated steel wheels after I found I couldn't buy what I wanted in mag and I knew full well about the bad chrome nowadays (a friend of mine had new chrome wheels that went bad very fast). This is what you see for wheels on the car; I guess my memory didn't serve me well with the last message, so never mind those links! You can use these part numbers to search or follow the links at the bottom. The wheels are 16x7. Summit CRR-3457712 Silver D-Window Series 3 (4 @ $62.95) Description is "Wheel, D Window, Steel, Silver, 16 in. x 7 in., 5 x 4.5 in. Bolt Circle, 4.0 in. Backspace" Summit CRR-29270-1 Closed Center Cap (4 @ $13.95) Description is "Center Cap, Steel, Chrome, Push-Through, 3.300 in. Diameter, Dome Style" Summit SUM-7540162 Duplex 1/2" 4pk Lug Nuts (5 @ 3.95) Description is "Lug Nuts, Conical Seat, Duplex, 1/ 2 in. x 20 RH, Closed End, Chrome Plated Steel, Set of 4" The rear tires are 215/60R-16 95H Zexius XI-427 All Seasons Blackwall (2 @ 101.99). The front tires are 205/50R-16 87V Zexius XI-326 All Seasons Blackwall (2 @ 87.09). So, the whole thing except for alignment, balance and stems came to $325 for wheels and $380 for tires = $705 w/o tax or shipping. I was o.k. with that after thinking about $1,000+ for wheels alone. Summit has always been real good about shipping and timeliness. Good luck! With adapters/spacers... thickness and specific application discussed at length in past threads. Keep in mind (and budget) that a set of adapters will run you about $120 over the cost of the wheels. . .
they may be to wide for the front. you should be able to use any wheel off of a 94 and newer mustang that is 8" wide. you would need the wheel spacers also.
