i am ready to hunt down some wheels for the maverick.i have an 8.8 from a fox body mustang and it's mini tubbed about 2.5".

after some measuring i can use up to a 15x12 in the rear but i want to go with a 15x10 with 7 inches backspace for the slicks and some 15x3 or 4 for the front.lookin at 26x10 slicks.i also plan to run some 17x10.5 with 315/35/17's in the rear with 6.8 backspacing for all around driving.all i can find for the front in the same style wheel is a 17x9 with just under 6" of backspace.

my question is will a 17x9 with almost 6" of backspace fit in the front?i am using granada disk setup in front.car is stock height till i get the tires and wheels on.

on the 15x3 or 4 in front what backspacing should i get.

You will prolly need spacers to fit wheels with that backspacing on the front. On the "skinnies", I've not seen any with options on backspacing until you get in the 6" width range... BTW, I agonized over the front wheel width on mine and finally went with a 6" over a 4" (because all the lug nuts are the same) and it still looks good!

after lookin online at the 15x4 in noticed you were right about backspacing.if all goes as planned i should have a pair of 15x4 centerlines pretty soon.talked to wheel vintiques (which is about a mile away) i was qouted 130 for a pair of 15x10 steelies with 7 inch backspace.so those are squared away.does anyone know what the typical backspacing is for the front wheels?
