chevy engine??????

I have been looking for a maverick for some time,I have seen a few on here with chevy engines in them..WTF! Why would someone waist one of these cars like that? Just get under my skin,because I am a ford guy and cant seem to get my hands on one,then I see someone put a crap chevy in one. Hey chevy guys,put your junk were it belongs in a chevy,and leave our cars alone.

I wouldn't mind putting a mod motor in a camaro

So i really don't care if someone puts a SBC in maverick.

and i love the LS1 in a maverick

My Brother-in-Law has this thing for putting 400 small block chevy motors in fox body mustangs, Got to admit they are normally fast as hell and he can make them go fast for a lot less $$$ than if he went with a Ford motor but I have to agree 100% it makes me sick to see a Chevy Motor in a Ford especially a Maverick.

i give my Bro-in-Law hell about doing that to a Mustang all the time.

I tell him it is a sacrelige putting a Chvy in a FORD Icon like the mustang and Told him he might as well be saying Jesus is a bad guy as to put a Chebby Motor ina Mustang...LOL

Everyone should do what ever makes them happy with their cars. It's just a car, and not a particularly valuable one at that, so who really cares.

agreed. Heck I have a 65 mustang with a 355 sbc

 

now this made me sick haha. I'm used to the whole fox body mustangs with chevy's in them (i still hate it) but come on now! a 65 iconic mustang with one it it!?! haha. maaaaannnn!!!

 

At one time the sbc stuff was way cheaper than any ford stuff!!! But that's all changed now, the sbf stuff is super cheap and there is alot more of it out there!!!

 

I think mixing and matching engines, transmissions, and rears from different automakers is what hot rodding is all about. I think finding something unexpected under the hood makes the car more interesting. How's it run? How's it look? How's it handle? How's it perform? So if it runs good, looks cool, handles good and goes fast, whats the problem? You tellin me you would rather have a 302sbf than a mega inch BBC just cause you think ford engines belong in ford cars?

 

It wants to be a camaro apparently. The car was built in the early 80's I believe. It has a camaro subframe under the front. I honestly think the car was wrecked at one time and then built into a racecar. I like it its funny that it makes people mad to me. around here most of the fast fox bodies have bbc's in them.

 

YES!!!!!!!!!!! Put a big mega inch shotgun FORD hemi in it, if you want different!!!or a little 300 six banger that runs 10's(thats different) as long as its a FORD!!!!
