Driving any Ford with a brand X motor is like DATING (yall know what i mean) a Fat gal. They serve the purpose to get you there but you really don't want your friends seeing ya driving it.LOL

lol. heck I'm proud of my fat gal car. I wouldn't go to all the work to build a crossbreed but its fun to race. I believe the main problem with ford is they could never leave anything alone, just so many little things they change over time to give headaches.

Thats one reason i never liked Chevy's, Always seemed to me they would change stuff mid year, So what fit one 19xx model wouldn't fit a later in the year model. oh well I guess it is what you grew up with.

never realized that but I haven't fooled with that many chevies. I like anything thats fast. can't wait to try out the 351w maverick when its built. With some nitrous I think I can give you a decent run

    I have to say it....

Some of the things that I have done and will do with MY Mustang give others pause..
But they don't have to look at it and they don't have to drive it. It is mine and if I cut the dash out and replace it with one of my own design because I like it then I have to say that if someone wants to make some sh1tt ugly change to their car then it is ok. I am not the one driving it and I can always look away so I don't have to see it.
I even changed the name on mine from Mustang to Muskrat - there is little that resembles the original car left - thats a good thing as far as I am concerned!

agreed. Heck if my mustang wasn't chevy powered it probaly would have been a pipe now. I can only figure that it was wrecked hard in the front at one time and someone made it a racecar

Putting American anything into anything is fine with me. It's the Nissian and Toyota motors in American cars that bothers me.

I'd drive the crap out of that and have fun doing it. Hot rodding is all about doing what YOU want to YOUR car. There's a place for paint by numbers concourse restoration, but I personally see no fun in it. I'm going to put what I want in my car to make it faster/cooler/louder/better.

Yea first off we are not building hotrods, these arent 32 fords. We are talking about Ford Mavericks and Mercury Comets with other engines in them. This is a sight about ford cars, and it sucks coming on here and finding a maverick with some brand x engine in it. If you dont want a ford engine then dont buy a ford. Nothing worse then walking up on a really nice car and look under the hood and see a pile of crap engine in it because the owner cant build a ford engine. As far as mustangs with sbc in them, they are ruined as soon as you do that so might aswell scrap them anyways. Thats like taking a camaro and putting a ford in it,I wouldnt do that to those cars or any other. Why go though all the extra work when you can bolt something just as badass without having to cut it up!
