Ive searched and cant really find what im looking for. I looked around and people run 15x10 4.5 backspace with a 275-60/15 or 295-60/15, is this going to stick out alot? What im looking for is a flush with the rear fender look, nothing sticking all out. Nice and wide in the rear but nothing crazy, like I said a nice flush look, something like this............ Im looking for this same look, any suggestions? 15x10 to wide? Please tell me what wheel size and tire size I need for this look Thanks
These are 15 x 10 with a 5 inch backspace with 295/50/15 tires. What you probably want is a 15 x 8 with a 4 inch B/S wheel and 275/50 tires
Agreed! I used to run 15X10's with 275 tires. My wheel lips were rolled. The tires looked flush. Everytime I hit a dip in the road or went around a curve my tires rubbed. Wound up with slices in the outer edges anyway. I would have to slow down on bad roads or curves. Went to 15X8's with same size tire. Still looks great and problem solved.
I actually run a 4.5 backspace on mine but I have a 9" housing that's about 1" wider than stock. So typically a 4.0 b/s should work best for a stock rear end.
so basically 15x10 is out of the question? Its just I see alot of better looking wheels that are 15x10 than 15x8 but I also dont want the wheels to stick out like crazy either, I dont mind rolling fenders, any suggestions?
It's out of the question as far as I'm concerned. I want zero tire rub and unless you minitub it I don't see that happening.
Just means that the wheel well lip is rolled rather than being flat. Gives a good 1/4-3/8 inch more clearance on each side...but not enough for the 15X10's with 275 or bigger tires. As least that's my experience on my car. Some of these cars are slightly different.
x2 70's production tolerances sucked lol A 28/9/15 is tight on the back of my car with the lips trimmed and rolled and some massageing on the inside lol this is on a 15x8 chrysler police ralley with a 5/16 spacer
well I just ordered the 15x8 3 3/4 backspace, now what tires should I go with? its a street car that is used on weekends this is the car now......
