I will not have my Comet GT running as planned. I will get the 72 Grabber prepped for the drive. No improvements since last year. But it did make the trip. This is if Blugene will follow me.

Where are the I35 East boys going to meet for the caravan? We can meet the I35 West guys and gals in Hillboro.

I plan to be there. I may need to make it short tho. I need to get to Lockhart to buy some sausage. Bring a gas can WITH gas in it lol.

Well after thrashing on the car to have it running this weekend I've run into one of those unexpected problems. My BRAND NEW rack and pinion has an issue. I added fluid to the system only to find a leak from the rubber boot on the end. No problem right? Just get a new rubber boot. WRONG! There shouldn't be any fluid there in the first place from what I can tell. So Im dropping the unit off at a shop today for inspection. The car at least needed to make it to the exhaust shop today if there was a chance for me to make the trip. OH well. Maybe next year or a North Texas meet once it cools down.

Chris, that a bummer. Maybe it will be a simple fix and re-install.

Looks like I can have it rebuilt today and then reinstall it tomorrow. That gives me 2 days to get the exhaust put on, the front end aligned, and AC charged. Still needs body work on the cowl. The interior is mostly in minus the back seat. (Thats another story)

LOL! Well.. if my cars are only worth about $25 each, based on your statement, then brooks should be letting me have them gutter trims for about a dime :biglaugh:

looking at the cars that were there last year, and everyone that should be there this year, I'm questioning bringing ours LOL Poor thing needs so much work. Maybe there'll be a most promising class????? Oh I have a Maverick gascap that obviously isn't the right one. It will go on, but doesn't always want to come off. We'll have it on at the show, though, bc the the other one is a generic aftermarket.
