Anyone ever "dismantled" a motorhome? We have an old otorhome where the living quarters have succumbed to leaks and weather from sitting for years. The 1-ton drivetrain/chassis only has 40,000 miles on it. It's the type with the van cab. I'm planing on removing all the "motorhome" parts leaving just the cab and chassis to possibly convert into a ramp-bed car hauler or converting one of my Suburbans into a 1-ton dually I know I could just go medieval on it with a sledghammer and a sawzall and rip everything to pieces, but I'd rather do it in an orderly fashion to make least amount of mess and disposing of the pieces easier. I haven't gotten underneath it yet......are there mounts for the camper part that can be unbolted from the frame to where most everything can be removed at once, or should I just start peeling metal panels off the roof and work my way down through all the wood framing. aluminum panels, cabinets, appliances etc. etc.?
You know those wooden buildings/sheds you see selling about every 50 feet on local highways? I actually thought about mounting one of those on the motorhome chassis.... A little too redneck lookin for my taste though I need a car hauler/tow rig alot more
