I wish I could see it run in person. [nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UszPwNF-AiQ"]YouTube - Pac Performance NEW WORLD RECORD 6-58 at 208 mph[/nomedia]
What kinda rpms they running those things up to? Are they still built like the Wankels? Or different design?
Well, the Rotary performance channel in Australia is Rotorg33k. Perhaps 33,000 rpm? I know almost nothing about rotary engines, but wikipedia says the 20B engine (the one in that pro car) is a Wankel design. But I highly doubt its an original 20B... perhaps a purpose built racing version? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda_Wankel_engine All I know is that car is bookin it.
I had a shop next door to these guys for awhile. The owner told me to bring my car over for dyno's when I am ready. Hopefuly he remembers me by then . I got to sit in the car once. I would hear them do pulls on the Mazdas all the time. I seen them do their signature car several times. Talk about loud. Their bays were facing my bay with only a row of cars parked between us. http://www.rx7.com/racing.html
