 Seems like all i do is buy chevys these days.. Well i built a 2000 s10 paint job rims system etc.. Had it finished for 3 weeks then the 2.2 motor (less then 30,000 miles) goes in it.. So i bought a 1998 Blazer yesterday runs and drives wrecked in the front end.. i got it for $600 dollars has a 4.3 vortech with automatic transmission behind the 4.10 gear in my rearend i think the s10 will haul a$$ but now heres the problem.. I love cars and i never have been much for parting out a car that didnt need to be parted out
Blazer has 133,000 miles on it
    Sun roof
    black nice interior
    runs great
for under $100 of pull a part i could have this looking straight and a good drive around vehicle what would u do? Part it out or put $100 in it and have a good running driving vehicle?

Frames not bent.. Grill broke we have an extra of that.. Hood bent- can be straightened some what, 6 inches of the front drivers side fender bent and bumper brackets are bent nothing that cant be fixed.. I wont drive it because i already got a black 2001 oldsmobile bravada ive been driving thats nicer. I will probably just fix it and sell it.

the s10 already has 4.10 gears.. thats why if i put that 4.3 in it it would haul a$$... or i could do like what u said find same color hood and fender and fix it and sell it for $2000.

I'll be rid of my last GM/Chev in less than 2 months!!! :yahoo:
My wife drove a 99 Blazer for 8 years, I put 2 alternators, one water pump, 2 batteries, 1 set of tires, 2 right front wheels bearings (ours was 4X4), 3 sets of brakes...But overall it was an awesome truck. I sold is totally ragged out last year for $2500......Yes 2500.....and the guy drove over an hour to get it.

If it's as nice as it looks, I'd fix it cheaply as possible and sell it for a profit.

If you want a 4.3, I've got just what you need to build a bad a$$ one. .040 over block, line honed, fully dipped and cleaned, new freeze plugs and cam bearings. Heads are redone with new valves and guides. Have another 4.3 still together that has a good crank and rods, you would need to buy a set of .040 over pistons and rings and a bearing kit and gaskets. Since it's Christmas, I'll take $300 cash for all of it. Have two of most everything, dist, intake, etc. That's less money than I have in the machine shop work on the one block and heads.:tiphat:

Says the guy with a SBC powered '65 Mustang, which is an unrepentant sin in my eyes.
