Thanks for bringing this thread to the top, I never saw it when it was new. Sure are alot of us that own 67-72 Ford trucks. I have a 70 F-100 short bed, have had it for about 12 years. Also have/will have as soon as it can get to my house, a 1960 Falcon Wagon 2 door

old pic of the 70 F-100, only difference now is a small chrome rear bumper
    truckr.jpg

This was my 1950 Ford 2 door, I had to sell it last year to help buy a house, behind it is the Falcon Wagon from when my friend was one of my roommates. he passed away months ago and I'm getting the car to restore in his memory when time and money allows.

Wow nice TA. ALways had a soft spot for that era TA. They are starting to make the way up the money ladder as well. Going for some decent money now. Funny we used to call them smoggers and buy them as parts cars for 50 bucks. Wish I would have kept the gold 6.6 bird I had then and sold for parts.
Helped a good friend shop for a nice TA this past Summer. I was shocked at the money for a good car. Cant find a decent one up here for under 10 grand. Trust me we looked at a bunch of junk. The nice cars were Southern US cars and he wanted anywhere from 13 grand to low twenties. A fellow not far from me in Dundas has barns full of them. Some with 10-20 thousand miles original cars. Had a 455SD car with 19000 on it. Didnt even tell us a price on that one. He knew it was out of our league. Its hard to find one that hasnt been hacked up over the years. His were all good cars but not cheap.

Hang onto that one its a good investment. Seen a few go over the barrett jackson stage lately.
Still seems funny for a car we classed as a smogger. Little did we know.....

Wow...an oldie revived, I'll play but no mystery since mine can be seen in some of my pics on my project pages and in other posts here.

I still have my first car, a 68 J code Mustang fastback w/ 36000 miles that was rebodied as a Shelby in the late 60s-early 70s. We don't know the history of the car other than it appears it have all of the parts from a wrecked GT-350, it was a trade in at the dealer my dad worked at in 1975. It has every Shelby piece except for a 6 grand tach...not the 8. The engine was sludged and knocking so he stored it in the garage and gave it to me later on. I ripped into it and never finished it. It sits today...low miles, rust free and Shelbyrific waiting for me to restart on it.

My Maverick was my second car...then I got a 68 Mustang GT cuz sporting my great grannys old car in high school didn't seem cool. I drove the GT 90,000 miles and it was bullet-proof.

Number 4 was an old drag car find in the late 80s...a 64 Cyclone that had been in a barn since the 70s. It sits as I found it still.

Since then I've had over 50 cars but still glad to have #1, #2 & #4!

Well since we are at it. I've got a 23 Model T speedster, 27 Model TT, 31 Model A 4dr Slant Windshield, 70 Mustang Grabber FB, 71 Comet GT, 72 Comet 2dr, 78 F-150 4x4. We just inherited a bunch from my father-in-law due to his passing and have to figure out how we are going to get them all back east from NM. Out there we have a 57 Custom Cab, 42 1/2 ton pick-up, 46 Mercury Sedan Coupe, and 8N and 9N tractors. Going to have to build a much bigger building to store them all in.

You guys are really pi@#ing me off. All these cars listed on here and I'm stuck with one car and a single garage.
Ah hell its likely a good thing I only have limited space. I'd be driving all over the US picking up cars.:)

Yeah, I've watched the value of them rise and I've always had a soft spot for the body style too. The 2nd gen T/A's, '67-'68 Mustang fastbacks and Mavericks are some of the best styled cars ever designed in my opinion.
