NEW Hot Wheels Maverick !!! Finally

Saturday, February 12th at 9am. Kmart will be holding a collector day. At this event anybody that shows up will have a chance at the green maverick.

I did well at the last collectors day I went to. No Mavs at that point ... was expecting them,(they just weren't out yet), but I killed on some other stuff that was exclusive.

I walked in at the last minute, and there were enough folks at this store that they had a drawing to see who would be the first 10 people to open the cases. I had a good number. Picked a case with a Treasure Hunt Torino, and a bunch of other goodies. Lucky day!

To anyone that wants to try this ... look up the Special Color cars at the Hot Wheels website prior to going. There are also First to Markets, but those are just released at Collectors Day before they hit other retailers.

The Special Colors are good ones to get ... they are Kmart exclusives, and frequently snapped up then.

I get the impression that it is up to the store whether or not it wants to participate, but most do. They post the list of participating store online.

 

Which hot wheels site are you referring to. The kiddie site is a nightmare to navigate.

I just did a pretty extensive search, and didn't come up with any info yet, so it is probably yet to be announced.

You could be one of the first if you get lucky on February 12th

 

For general info I have found Hot Wheels at Dollar Generals here in Florida. Got lucky and found 2 right after it was stocked. They usually only have a small display, less than 40 cars at any given time, but they do carry them. Winn Dixies also carry them, but not stocked often and also a very small display area.

I bought a lot of Hotwheels for $5.00 and an old Mighty Maverick was in the heap.

 

just picked up one of the new blue/yellow ones yesterday...
