i am looking for a set of tires for the maverick. i have bf goodrich radials now but they do not do so well in the rain i have already fished tail 2 times today and i just want to get better tires.
Ive found with t/a's its better to run a little less air in them. 28-30 seems to help them do better in wet weather FWIW Ive had about a dozen sets of them over the years
Cooper Cobras. But if you don't want to fishtail, learn to be a better driver. You're applying too much power for the driving conditions.
X2. I'm pretty fussy and critical of tires. I found the same, the BFG's on mine run good around 30psi. Any more and they get a bit snakey. PLAn on changing mine this season. Pick up too many rocks. I prefer the old TA tread. It was a tighter pattern.
You shouldn't lock up the brakes. And learn to avoid people like that. I get cut off everyday and I never over react by swerving or slamming the brakes. Just trying to give you some freindly advice here, I've got 40 years and 4 million miles of experience to share with you, in cars and trucks of every size from 4 wheels to 18 wheels. Tires are only as good as the driver.
