Hot Wheels Collectors Day is just four days away ...

I just got a link to some good info for the Saturday 2-12-11 event ...

I had a hard time getting links to work on that page. The only one that did was details on the special car you can get if you buy 20 cars.

I seem to be having some internet problems this morning. I will have to check back on that page to see if that clears up.

 

It's not just you're internet, mine does not work right either.
But that is the green Grabber I want and I finally found out where they are having the collector day here at K Mart, I will be there at opening time!!!

I have 3 stores that I can aim for

 

May be best to call the store and see if they are participating...I thought I had three to "cover" called all, but only one is going to participate so...MAKE THOSE CALLS! I know it would have made me if I had went to one expecting to be able to "treasure hunt" and found out they were not going to do it, and I just happened to think to call.

Normally off but gotta work this Saturday. Damn! I hope there will be a few left hanging on the hooks in the afternoon. And everybody don't forget to look for those Treasure Hunts. Especially the Super Treasure Hunts with the real rubber tires ...

 

It may be different at your local store, but the KMart closest to me handles Collectors Day like this ...

Each participating store gets a large box. Inside that box are special-sized cases ... they hold 36 cars, and there are 10 or 12 cases IIRC.

The employee that is managing the event will hand out numbers to all interested in participating. They draw numbers to see who gets first crack at a case. You get to pick which case you want to look through and you get one or two minutes to pull what you want out of it.

Then they pull numbers for who gets a second sweep through the case, and so on, until everyone has a chance at them.

At the last event I went to there was 16-18 people there. I strolled in right before the drawing, got in on the first round and scored a good case ... Treasure Hunt Talladega, 3 of the 4 special color cars, and others.
