In addition, who makes a T-5 crossmember for a 69.5? I'm guessing nobody.....guess I'll fire up the welder.

Frank I think its time to make a T5 crossmember for the later cars. Alot of people swapping them in and nobody has come up with a mount to produce for sale. You can do it :thumbs2:

That tranny was used with big blocks for years. Just make sure you get a real one, not the Mazda / Ranger truck one ........

we made the...AOD crossmember...for my car...then we had a pattern.
we made the...T-5 crossmember...for Earls 69.5...then we had a pattern.
we haven't had a ...71-77...T-5 install yet so we have no pattern.
what we have done for the...T-5 in a 71-77...is sell the pieces for an...AOD crossmember...to make a T5 crossmember out of...:thumbs2:

you mount the plate to the trans mount, mount the frame brackets and then place the cross bar from frame to frame and tac it to the plate and brackets. remove it and weld it up...:yup:

I hope this might help someone...PM if interested...

    Frank...:Handshake
