rear tires

    I am wanting to make my comet look like a pro street car without spending a lot of money I am thinking about a 295/50/15 on a 8in wheel what has to be done to put it under my car has anyone done it or do u have a differnt tire size in mind

    I think you would have to mini tub it and maybe move the springs and shocks. :)

    It can be done but you will need to stiffen up the rear springs and roll the inner fender wells to get them to fit. I have them on the back of my 69.5 but I am running air shocks for the time being untill I can get the springs done.

    Ditto, I have em on mine too, but on 15 x 10's with a 5" backspace and helper springs.

    I am using 15X8s with a 4.5" backspace. They do rub on the inner fender well a little if I am turning into someplace that is up hill though, but not much and not often. You will learn quick where you can and can't go. LOL!

    yup

    i have 275/50/17's on my 69.5 mav with air shocks

    i don't like them very much rubs with a few people in the car

    i am going to go with 245/45/17's and hope i can put some drag shocks on it
