Did all Mavericks / Comets come stock with 14" wheels? I'm upgrading to Granada discs and need to change my 72 4 lugs to 5 lug. I want to use my Comet hubcaps. I have an opportunity to buy 4 15" 75 Granada stock wheels, but wondered if my Comet hubcaps are going to fit... I'm guessing no. I want to keep the stock look.

No, the Comet caps will not fit 15" wheels. No Mavs or Comets had 15's

When you say "hubcaps", do you mean the small 10" caps? If so, they will fit either 14 or 15 inch wheels.

I have never seen a Granada with 15" wheels. Are you certain they are 15 inch?

Oh... I get it now... wheel covers vs hub caps. No I mean wheel covers. I measured the wheels and they are 15" OD and inner bead to bead 6". They have a Ford stamp, and I was told they came of a disc brake 'Nada. The covers that I got with the wheels are badly curb rashed.. It would be cool if a small cop style hub cap would fit on these I dont see how it would grab on.

Sounds like you have early '90's Crown Vic wheels if there are no nubs to attach "dog-dish" hubcaps. There were no special "disc brake" wheels for Granadas.

A 14" rim will measure 15" from outside lip to outside lip.

    Oh sh*t.
So if Granada's had disc brakes, did they all have 14" wheels too or did the disc brake nadas have 15"? I just measured my other two cars and my 16" rims on the van are 17"OD and the 15" on the Coronet are 16". 'm feelin kinda stoooopid right about now. I bought 5 of these... one with an old tire...205/75/14. These are 14", and from a Granada I'm pretty hopeful of..I just called the guy and he said the inner part of the special Granada rim is larger to accomodate the Granada disc brake assembly, and that the Mustang 14" rims he hads on his 68 wouldn't fit over the granada bakes he put on his Stang. So he used these 14" inchers from a Nada and they fit fine. If true, then I can use my current tires which are in great condition...... and I can keep my bichin Comet hubcaps.. see my pics under my name on the left.. Big Sur ! Attached pic of rim...see any nubs for a hub cap?
    Thanks, guys.. comments, derision, suggestion...?

Those are nice wheels to use. They were available on Mavericks and Comets when a wider tire was ordered and used a SS trim ring with a small center cap. Your current hubcaps will work fine on them, and the nubs are there for the small "dog-dish" caps.

His earlier Mustang wheels would have had a smaller diameter center hole and were probably narrower. Those early style wheels do not work with the disc brakes.
