My Pinto.

    Well today we stuck the 2.3 turbo motor in its new home: Super Pinto. Can I still call it Super Pinto now that it will be turbo charged?

    Here's the rundown...

    OK:
    Fully ported D port iron head with 1.89/1.59 valves.
    Boport 1.5 cam.
    fully ported upper and lower intake (rotated to face forward)
    65MM throttle body.
    Rebuilt stock short block (Weak link)
    canton 7 quart baffled oil pan.
    Volvo intercooler.
    Bob's log coated center mount with external waste gate.
    3" down pipe and exhaust.
    T04B with .82 A/R.

    SDS computer.
    65# injectors.
    Wide band 02 sensor option for tuning.
    255 LPH fuel pump.

    Going in:
    A 75 Pinto with lighter 78 bumpers 2500 LBS.
    8" posi rear 3.55 gears.
    5-Speed     [​IMG]
    2" drop spindles.
    11" disk brakes.

    They can go to about 450 HP. The block can go higher but the stock rods are the weak link.

    T3 or T4 exhaust housing? I hope its got a T3 :D But that's a nice size to make power.

    stock short blocks will; take more then people think. think 30 psi from a hx40 holset:)

    That 4 cyl can walk all over any 6 cylinder on this board, So I don't see the need for a backhanded compliment.

    Thanks :) Should be ready for test runs in a month. Waiting on the exhaust manifold I ordered to get here. Should be in a week or two. 6 point cage going in soon too. The best part will be racing my Pinto against my Maverick. :mischeif: But which one should I drive? :hmmm:

    Once the Pinto is finished. And I recover financially I can start thinking about finishing the Maverick. All it needs is Powerjection III F.I., a 5-Speed tranny strong enough to handle the 331, some body work, some paint, a roll cage,.... :rolleyes:

    THEN I'M GETTING A CHEAPER HOBBY!!!! :evilsmile Any Ideas????
