I guess I will just start at the beginning........................

I decided Sunday that my boys and I would go out to a friends house and do a little shooting. I needed some ammo for the .45 and some more .22 ammo (can never have enough of that). So we got in the truck and headed for Wally World. We got there and entered through the Lawn and Garden section and came into the store at the toy isle. Well right there they had put up a display box full of Hot Wheels. So of course I had to go through them ya know. JACKPOT!!!!!!!!!!!! 5 red Street Beasts, and also picked up a few other cars, about 12 in all. Well I decided to just go over to the normal display and have a look see as to what was there. I parked my cart out of the way (I know not normal for anyone to do in Wal-Mart) and started to look through the cars. There was an older guy there looking also and I didn't think anything of it. He walked off and I heard a noise behind me and again I didn't think a thing about it untill I turned around and looked in my basket and lo and behold...................... only 4 Street Beasts in the cart now. At this point I am only a little miffed, so I decided to look for the old guy. I found him 2 isles over thumbing through a box of short card cars. I look at him and smiled and started looking through them also. He got a little skiddish and departed the area. I noticed in his hand that he was trying very hard to conceal 2 car packs and both of them were red. I followed him and asked very nicely if he minded if I could look at the cars he had chosen. No big deal, he at that time got very defencive and started walking faster and I kept up with him and asked again if I could see his cars because someone had snagged on of mine out of my cart and he was the only one in the isle that could have done it. He told me to leave him alone and go away or he would call security. I told him that was a good idea and about that time there was a store worker in the next isle and I ask her if she could help me with a problem. He got very irate at that time and threw the cars up on a shelf and said take them. He tried to get up in my face and I told him that there was no lower thing on the planet as a thief. He then ran away.
I took the Maverick and put it back in my cart and went about my business. On the way out of the store I ran into the girl I had ask for help and apologised to her for the ruckus but I could not let it go. She said that she had notified security and they were keeping an eye on him till he left the store.
I know I know it was only a toy car................. but at some point you have to stand up for principal. The bad thing is all he would have had to do is say hey dude, I have been looking for one of those and could not find one and I would have given him one or two. But don't just walk by and snag stuff out of someones cart.
OK, I am done ranting and 5 more red Street Beasts have a good home.

The key word here is "Walmart" ... 90% of the folks there are fine, but it does bring some others out from under the rocks where they live.

    I've never laughed so hard!!
What's up with that? the guy must have been a nut. He must have really wanted one....
I've had it out a few times in a store with someone, people are just stupid anymore.

I was waiting in line at Costco, some guy walked up and stood in front of me...like I wasn't there..I asked him what he was doing, and he flipped out........

I had a very similar incident in Walmart around Christmas time. Parked my cart at the end of an isle while I was looking for something, had a boat load of stuff in my cart that I had already shopped for and went back and the cart was gone and most of my stuff sitting on the shelf next to where I parked it. Lucky for me there were a couple items they didn't take out of the cart so I looked around till I found the cart with some of my stuff and a bunch more stuff they had picked up, waited for them to leave it unattended and took it to the other side of the store and left it there. LOL

Great job! Hope the guy noticed everyone watching him during the remainder of his visit.

And if you run across more of the red ones I would buy a couple from you. I search whenever I can.

    You did GOOD :thumbs2:

If my wife and son saw someone stealing a Maverick Hot Wheels from my cart, they would be on the floor laughing. I can hear it now "a Maverick? He stole a Maverick?" :rofl2:

Not a lot of Maverick respect around my household
