Just curious who all on here might have a 6.0 PSD. I bought one a few months ago and I love it! But... the oil cooler ruptured shortly after and now it's being fixed and bullet-proofed at the dealer. It should be a bad mama-jama when I get it back though. Like I said, just curious! Y'all take care! Preston

I've got one and the same thing happened to me on the way to the MCG Gathering in Joplin a few years ago. It's a 2004 F-250 crew cab. The cost was over $2K at the dealer to fix it but I still had a warranty on it then. Spent 3 days in Las Lunas, NM. getting it fixed. The warranty covered everything but $100, and also covered motel, rental car, and food expenses. Got to the Gathering on Thursday so we didn't miss too much. Has run great ever since. Knock on wood.:)

EGR valves, EGR cooler, head gaskets & head bolts/studs are also other big problem areas for these engines...

I've got over 90K on it now and haven't had any more problems. :)

Yep seen a bunch at my buddies shop with engines gone. Head gasket issues. Shame too since the trucks look like new but no warranty left on them.

I figure I've got enough warranty left on mine to get back to one more Gathering.:)

Keep tabs on the engine with oil samples.

Got mine back today- ARP head studs, new head gaskets, checked the heads, new oil cooler... a few other odds and ends. 5,020 dollars worth... ugh. Then I ordered an SCT X3 tuner with custom tunes from Tony Wildman and an Edge CTS monitor... I'm hoping it's gonna be a reliable monster from here on out. I'm anxious to get it installed and try it out! Have any of you played with your's?

I work on those things all day long. We've got several fleets still running them. Keep the boost below 30psi, oil changes, monitor the coolant for additive depletion and good fuel are imperative to make them last longer. Watch the metal aft axle tanks for delamination (white or gray flakes in the primary fuel filter). I've seen 400k on a couple.
