Well 67 Thunderbirds are supposed to be a luxury car but let me tell you the back seat with the rounded padded corners are not comfortable at all

62 Falcon screaming 260 with three speed on the floor, delapated exhaust got pulled over for excessive noise, got ticket and car wouldnt start after that, two state patrolmen pushed the car to start it but what was really cool about it is that they pushed it up to the line of our out in the country dragstrip

57 Fairlane big 6 three on the tree, going to school one morning it was hailing pretty bad and was going down the street that was sloped pretty good hit secong gear and gave it the gas a little and proceeded to do 3-360s going down the street, luckily there was nothing parked on the street to hit and it went down like a proffesional did it.

Nothing major, I managed to sneak 8 people into the drive in movie in the trunk of my 55 Mercury Montclair! :thumbs2:

My dad wouldn't let me own a ford. This maverick is my first.

    I looked at a Ranchero, early 70s or late 60s model, with a fresh rebuilt 400 or 4-twenty something. I was 17.

My dad noticed the power steering pump leaking and told me to walk away.

Now that I am much older, I don't think it had to do with the power steering as much as the engine it was mated up to...

Never got the Maverick til I was in my early 30s, then bought the wife's mustang when I was around 35.

Not really my favorite but the only one i remember in a Ford.....One of the older guys had a Flathead '50 Ford....I was probably 16....4 of us cut class one day, backed that into one of the guy's parents garage. closed the door and sat in the car huffing contact cement out of a brown paper bag....Hey, i'm not proud of it, was a long time ago and is part of my history....Now if i was asked about any car, well i would of only wished we had cellphone cameras back then to footnote the history that went on in the backseat of my Camaro

I remember going to a pool hall with my first girlfriend in her fox body thunderbird. We didn't play any pool, rumors got started and I found myself single :(

Me and my cousin used to ditch school and take my '73 Grabber into places where most 4x4s had to lock in the hubs:rolleyes:. My favorite memories from HS is when we used to pool up all our money (which wasn't much) on any given nice day and put gas in the Mav (and leave out enough for a couple burgers or some kind of lunch) and go explore every junkyard around within 100 miles:thumbs2:. Not a dime between a couple of 16 y/o redneck car nuts to buy a lugnut, but we loved to just walk through some of the older yards and take in all the history. We never disturbed anything, left hoods/trunks/doors open or took anything. Might sound like a waste of time, but I'm sure some of you get it;).

Hopefully the wife won't see this.

Junior year in high school and went to a band competition at my gf's high school. Her and I in the front seat while my best friend and my gf's best friend in the back seat. Windows got really fogged up! :bananaman

1990 i drove a 1963 Mercury Meteor 260 2spd (moms car) what a dog!!! we use to pour tranny fluid on the ground to make the poor thing do burnouts! The stock single exhaust started to get a hole in it just before the muffler (behind the rear end) and my dad made a temporary patch out of a pop can and 2 hose clamps. So the cool thing to do was pick up the guys slip under the car and take the patch off, then cruise around town all night in lo gear like we really had something, haha good times!
By 1991 my last year in high school i had my 64 Merc Pick up done 1971 429 c6 and 3.91 gear.Since i spent every cent i had on the truck and all i cared about was street racing and going fast there will be no females included in this story.Had lots of fun with this truck but most storys include burnouts.Found a very old set of L60 Kelly springfields at the wreckers what a score! you could burn them forever and they never seemed to wear out.Burnouts in the school autoshop with the hall door open and filling the cafeteria with smoke, burnout contests in the school parking lot and getting suspended for 2 days....i could go on all night.
