Do a search.. Or it might be in tech articles, there's a list of headers with the part numbers you will need for the perfect fit

Perfect? Eh, maybe. Sometimes they fall in and others have to dent tubes here and there. I assembled the list based on only the manufacturer's suggested applications:

What the list gives you a starting point for searching the forum for specific part numbers, etc. Hope it helps. (y)

Everything fits perfect when you have a hammer in the opposite hand.

NOTHING will be a pefect, direct replacement. It will require changing the exhaust pipes.

Those are the Hedman 88300's, I've read those fit the best for many of the members here. Many have had success with Hooker 6901's but I think I've heard the majority run the 88300's.

To be honest, I can't be 100% positive. My buddy installed them a couple of years ago and I thought I remembered him saying that, but I could be wrong.

Had to dimple tube 5 and tube 8 a bit to get the Hooker 6901's to fit. The Comet's originally a column shift car so I had to switch over to a floor shifter with a cable and hack off some of the linkage that was on the steering coupler.

I just removed a set of the Hooker 6901 headers they fit but the tubes had to be dented to install the plug wires ( I hate dented header tubes) the headman elite headers fit perfectly no denting tubes and both sides went in from the bottom with no problems at all. The headman headers are a supper nice product.

Hi Rob1972. You replied to a thread that was 6 years old, but it is interestng that you said you had no trouble with the Hedman Elite headers. Were they the Elite 88308 headers? Can you give us me details on your car such as is it a column shift auto or is it a floor shift. Does the pitman arm ever touch the headers when you turn lock to lock?
    Thanks.

Thanks. Are these the long tube 308's or the short tube 408's. Both of them can be had as Elite headers. Also, do you have power steering? Sorry for all the questions but I'm wondering if Hedman improved the design in any way. Thanks.

    MD
