Just me, but I think you gave up too many Jacksons. (The broken cover plate and corroded GT lower tell me they weren't cared for) Couple of Lincolns is all I'd have given, those even match each other ? The intake is a GT40, the upper looks like an HO or std upper (casting numbers will tell which)

Upper and lower match. Its an Explorer intake, almost like a GT40. I was just searching out local craigslist for those today. Saw 2 that were listed for $150, but the ads were a couple weeks old and probably long gone.

I always walk by the Explorers in the junkyard hoping to spot one that hasnt been stripped off yet.

How many Jacksons did you give for them?

Yeah, they match. They were pulled from a 5.0L explorer and never cleaned/installed. I checked it out, no broken tabs or stripped holes. And it has not been ported, which everyone wants to do and usually screw them up. I thought it was a pretty good deal...

I also usually see them go for $150 for the upper / lower pair.

I paid 2 Jacksons for the pair. :D

You know you dont want to mess with cleaning up those dirty things. I'll pay you what you have in them and go ahead and ship them over here. My Mustang could use them.

Sounds like you need a "5.0" scoop to go with that :rofl2:

I am making a junk yard trip Saturday morning, if you want to tag along let me know. I always see them at the yards. I honestly think its ridiculous to pay anymore the 40 for them (atleast in a big city with NUMEROUS pull your own parts places). And you can grab a 65mm throttle body for 20 bucks at same time.

Heck I only paid 100 for my edelbrock RPM.

There not as rare as they were in 2001
