Amen to that brother, but once they get it all stickered up the look will change, I watch Nascar but dont like the new drafting like at Daytona.

I liked it better back in the late 60s when you could tell what the car was, and I am sorry but why is a Toyota even allowed on the track

They used to have to build a certain number of cars for the street public before they could race it on the track and now the only thing different on them is the decals. I like the old way better. That is why they were called stock cars.:drive:

It would be so nice to have stock cars look like stock cars again instead of IROC. Another thing that would make it better is to get rid of the monopoly that Goodyear has on tires. It would separate the teams even more if they could decide what works best for their setups between Firestone, Khumo, Hoosiers, ect.

    :)

Agreed! The WWF of auto racing. The antics these clowns pull would earn a lifetime ban in any other motorsports venue...

But it's still a fake! If FORD wants a Nascar car to look like a stocker, they need to build a two door Fusion! :tiphat:

I'll watch Nascar when they take a car off the assembly line, using the beefiest factory equipment they come with, doing modifications themselves, and race around the track like the old days before I was around. :)

Yup, Toyota didn't help. Once they started racing I lost all interest.

I would like to see NASCAR evolve into something like the Australian Super Car Series. I think those guys are actually doing an exibition race in the US this year.

i thought it would be cool to start a trans am like racing league with the new mustang, camaro, challenger, etc. just stripped down factory cars with rollcages and sticky tires. im thinking it might bring back real factory racing and not just a bunch of identical purpose built race cars with different paint scemes driving in a circle for 3 hours

They do have the trans am series, the problem is there is not much air-play on it. Nascar trumphs all other forms of racing on TV. Up untill a year or two ago it was a mustang only series because there were no other cars in that class to go up against.

There are a few tracks nationwide that have sanctioned Trans-Am racing series events. There is even one in the salt lake valley, it goes by the name miller motorsports. They look at getting as much support as they can for it but as it was noted the TV airplay is like comparing high school wrestling with that crap they show on TV on monday nights starring the retards in the leotards.... hey Im a poet and didnt know it...
