Check out this Vega also [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Motor-Cast-1974-Chevrolet-Vega/dp/B002FKL7IW/ref=sr_1_4?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1327812453&sr=1-4"]Amazon.com: Motor Max 1/24 Die Cast 1974 Chevrolet Vega Red: Toys & Games[/ame]
Did you see the 74 grabber that was listed. 1/24 scales, white w/orange. And it is really a maverick. God price too.
Took a chance and ordered one. It came in white with "MAVERICK" fender emblems, not "PINTO". Never did any modelling but I may have to try to get the Sprint blue on it. Will NOT attempt the rear quarter decals.
Those fresh cherries are way easier to customize over the Hot Wheels, they came with screws instead of rivets. I did a couple in my high school years when these first came out:
The one with the black stripes came that way stock. The blue one in the back was painted using Duplicolor Ford Blue Engine enamel, it's actually lighter than actual Ford Blue and more like Grabber blue.
I had to buy it...I owned that very car for a while in college! CommieHook (Always called it a Pinto, though....)
